Corn Is Not The Answer!
I have to admit, using corn for fuel sounds pretty cool. But of course there is much more to it than you would think. Major Automakers like Ford and GM are doing their best to persuade Americans that Corn Ethanol is the future for fuel. Unfortunately they just don't get it. Using corn for fuel will create absurd demands and disrupt the entire farming industry. Food prices would go thru the roof and studies say the corn fuel can produce more global warming gases than gasoline-fueled cars.
This will become a great debate, ethanol enthusiasts rave about it, but others feel that it would be just replacing one problem with another.
There is no one answer to the fuel crisis. It needs to be a collaborate effort that involves consumer awareness, better technology and major habit changes. Major automakers have fought the shift to hybrid technology all of these years, and were the driving force behind promoting enormous gas guzzling SUV's.
We will continue to monitor the ethanol debate and update you whenever we can. As always do your own research and remember to look at the source of your information. Reading about the wonderful benefits of ethanol from a website owned by the National Corn Growers Association mighty be slightly skewed:)
