Tell The Polar Bears, You Don't Believe in Global Warming!

Regardless of your political affiliation, or you current stance on Global Warming, what is happening in the arctic should be not ignored.

To be honest, i'm not quite sure why there is even a debate. It is clear that the climate is changing and there is plenty of scientific data to prove it. If your not one that responds to data, perhaps you would be moved by the fact that Polar Bears are drowning. Yes that's right, Polar Bears, (inherently very good swimmers) are drowning. Polar ice caps are melting more and more each year, and the bears are often stuck swimming hundreds of miles to try and find a safe place to rest.

"Today, the Northern Hemisphere sea ice area broke the record for the lowest recorded ice area in recorded history," Chapman, a researcher on Arctic meteorology of the university's Department of Atmospheric Sciences, wrote Thursday in the online publication 'The Cryosphere Today."

"The new record came a full month before the historic summer minimum typically occurs. There is still a month or more of melt likely this year. It is therefore almost certain that the previous 2005 record will be annihilated by the final 2007 annual minima closer to the end of this summer."
